The Van

Sprinter and Transit

A 2021 extended length, high roof AWD Ford Transit with the EcoBoost engine has replaced our 2016 144″ high roof 4×4 Mercedes Sprinter.

Our objective in the build continues to be able to carry and store as many bikes inside the van as possible while also having a comfortable place to sleep, cook, eat and store all the other necessities. Check in on the articles below to see how we accomplished these objectives as well as compromises made along the way.

I had a Kenwood DX995S radio installed in my 2017 Sprinter. I have read your installation and used all parts you suggested, unfortunately I am disabled and had to send the job to a Radio installer. My question : Since installing do you have the Radio and Phone display on your Instrument panel? I have nothing since the installation. My Radio and steering control are working but not my cluster display for Radio, Navigation or phone.
    Any help is appreciated.

Hi Siegfried…Unfortunately, the instrument cluster did not reflect the anything from the radio. I generally use Android Auto/Apple Carplay and use the head unit touchscreen display for controlling and viewing the systems.
